I received this message from Supervisor Lori Waters:

At its October 5, 2010 general business meeting, the Board of Supervisors (BOS) heard a presentation on various options for school sites in Ashburn. Earlier this year, the BOS authorized the study of converting Belmont Ridge Middle School to a high school, adding a middle school to the undeveloped land at Newton-Lee Elementary School, and building an elementary school on part of the county-owned site off of Farmwell Road (formerly known as the ISA site).

Here is the link to the board item, including background material and the slides from the presentation. As a first step in the continuing discussion of these options, I would like to get feedback from you regarding these sites.

    Sincerely,

    Lori Waters
    Loudoun County Board of Supervisors
    Broad Run District
