Volunteers Needed For Halloween Events This Weekend!

volunteer_buttonWe have many great amenities offered in our community, especially the annual events hosted by our Events Committee. The HOA is proud to provide these events free of charge to our residents. However, in order for these events to run smoothly and be brought back each year, we need help from the residents in our neighborhood!

The Halloween events below are happening this weekend and volunteers are still needed. Helping out is a great way to give back to your community, so please consider volunteering just a little bit of your time by clicking on the sign-up links below:

Keep Broadlands events going strong by becoming a member of the Events Committee! The next meeting will be held on Monday, October 20th, 7:00pm at the Clubhouse, 43360 Rickenbacker Square. The building is located on the right side of the road off of Waxpool Road driving East from the Dulles Greenway overpass. The committee welcomes all of our residents to attend and looks forward to hearing your great ideas and recommendations. Dust off your decorations, it’s time to start planning for Broadlands 2nd Annual Halloween Decorating Contest! Last fall we had 22 entries with 13 prize winners in categories such as Spookiest, Most Creative, Best Pumpkins, Zombies, and Inflatables. We hope to make this year even bigger and better. You could win a cash prize as well as bragging rights for your ghosts, ghouls, and zombies! Buy or sell at private residences throughout the Broadlands community, The Arbors and The Van Metre Broadlands Apartments.

To see a list of participants and find out what’s for sale, and to view community map, please visit www.broadlandshoa.org/yardsale. The HOA will publicize the yard sale in Ashburn Today, Leesburg Today, Loudoun Times-Mirror and The Washington Post newspapers.

 

End of Summer Middle School Pool Party, Friday, August 15, 6:30-9:00pm

EOS Middle School Party 2014If you are a rising 6th, 7th and 8th grade Broadlands Residents, then celebrate the end of summer with your friends at the Southern Walk Pool on Friday, August 15 from 6:30pm-9:00pm. Enjoy music, pizza and bring your floats for the pool.
