Broadlands Section 104 Land Use Application
Provided is an overview and update on the Broadlands Section 104 land use application (ZCPA-2021-0011) that is currently in the public review process. The application will appear at the December 13th Board of Supervisor’s Public Hearing for a final vote of approval or denial. The Public Hearing will take place at 6:00pm at the Loudoun County Government Center (1 Harrison Street SE, Leesburg).
Please note that this parcel is not proposed as a part of Broadlands HOA.

In this application, Van Metre has submitted a rezoning request to convert approximately 10 acres of land from office and industrial uses to residential use, to construct up to 136 units (45 townhouse units, 27 stacked condo units, and 64 apartment units), on land northeast of the Van Metre Drive and Broadlands Boulevard intersection. 2023-2024 Holiday Schedule for Trash/Recycling Collection
Patriot Disposal’s office will be closed, and services will not be provided Christmas and New Year’s Day. Please review the following modified holiday schedule to ensure your trash/recycling is picked up:
- CHRISTMAS DAY (Monday, December 25th no service) Services will be moved one day to the right for both days this week:
- Monday’s regularly scheduled services will be provided on Tuesday, December 26th.
- Thursday’s regularly scheduled services will be provided on Friday, December 29th.
- NEW YEAR’S DAY (Monday, January 1st no service) Services will be moved one day to the right for both days this week:
- Monday’s regularly scheduled services will be provided on Tuesday, January 2nd.
- Thursday’s regularly scheduled services will be provided on Friday, January 5th.

WINTER WONDERLAND
VENUE & TIME CHANGE!
With rainy forecast for Friday, the Winter Wonderland event has been relocated to the Community Center Building and Parking Lot at 43004 Waxpool Road. Additionally, the event will now start an hour earlier, and run from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. The event will take place mainly indoors, however, there will be a line for Santa, so dress warmly! If you’re driving, there will be limited parking across the street near the Stone House and tennis courts. Please walk through the tunnel to get to the event.
BROADLANDS HOLIDAY MARKET
Don’t miss out on our annual Holiday Market this Saturday, December 2nd, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. You’re invited to join us and your neighbors for a day filled with fun, food, and shopping. We have some amazing vendors ready to showcase their products, and we also have fun activities planned such as a bounce house, face painters, and a DJ. Bilstad’s Beignets food truck will also be onsite, so bring your appetite! The weather is expected to be great, in the 60s, making it the perfect shopping weather. The Holiday Market will be held at the Southern Walk Pool Parking Lot. Please park along Village Dr. or at the Nature Center if you plan to drive. See you there!
