CONCRETE REPAIR PROJECT ON PRIVATE STREETS BEGINS WEEK OF NOVEMBER 16

CONCRETE REPAIR PROJECT  – PRIVATE STREETS ONLY

The Board of Directors for Broadlands Association has contracted with Fairfax Paving & Concrete, Inc. to perform minor concrete work on certain PRIVATE streets in Broadlands beginning the week of November 16. Some sections of sidewalk and driveway aprons will be replaced. This work will require the COMPLETE COOPERATION of all property owners and residents.  Concrete areas to be replaced have been marked with BLUE PAINT.  If you have a blue mark on your driveway apron, please pay particular attention to the information below.

This project will take place according to the Concrete Repair Schedule (weather permitting).  While we will make every effort not to inconvenience residents, the desire is to complete concrete repairs before winter.  Additional asphalt repairs will be made in spring 2016.

All work is, of course, WEATHER PERMITTING.  In the event of rain, the project will move forward one day for each day of rain. Please be advised that any delay in the schedule will affect the entire schedule, so let’s hope Mother Nature cooperates. Rain or wet streets on any day guarantees a delayUpdates will be posted on message boards at the entrances.

Please do not park within twenty feet of concrete which has been marked with blue paint.  Any driveway apron being replaced may not be driven over for a minimum of 72 hours and a maximum of 96 hours upon completion of the work.  FPC representatives will remove the barricades once the concrete has dried and fully set and is ready to bear the weight of a vehicle.  Please ensure any vehicles parked in the garage or driveway are vacated by 7am on your scheduled day.  Work will take place between 7:00am and 5:00pm daily.

On the day work is scheduled for your area of the community, the contractor will make the determination, based on the weather conditions and reports for that day, as to whether the work can start as scheduled. If FPC makes the determination that the work cannot start as scheduled, work will be delayed for one (1) day (e.g., work scheduled for the 16th will be rescheduled for the 17th and so on).

We wish to minimize the disruption to you and maximize the efficiency of the job, so please make plans accordingly!  Questions may be directed to Sarah Gerstein at sarah@broadlandshoa.com or 703-729-9704.
