Fearless optimist Anna teams up with Kristoff in an epic journey, encountering Everest-like conditions, and a hilarious snowman named Olaf in a race to find Anna’s sister Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom in eternal winter. PG, 102 mins.
Bring a picnic dinner – or pick up something from one of the great local restaurants – and stake out your spot on the lawn. Coolers, lawn chairs, and picnic blankets are welcome. Free popcorn and drinks are provided. This is a popular event, so come early for a good seat!
Movies will begin shortly after sundown – as soon as it’s dark around 8:40 pm. Reservations not required. In the event of inclement weather, check the website to see if this event is cancelled or rescheduled.
Due to the weather, there has been a change in venues for tonight’s Broadlands Live! concert. The show will now be held at the Community Center at 43004 Waxpool Road, located across from Hillside Park.
The show will still go on featuring 2 acoustic acts, Diggity Dudes starting at 5:30pm and Melodime at 7:00pm. We’ll have food vendors available for your convenience. BYOB…remember to bring your ID for age verification.
Wildlife Ambassadors will be giving an educating program on how animals survive, raise their young and live in their unique habitats. Animals will include birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians. Program Time: 10am to 11am. Doors open at 9:45 am. Cost $4 per child for Broadlands residents, $5 per child for non-residents. Pre-register (not required) at www.broadlandsnaturally.org. Asphalt milling and repaving at the intersection of Mooreview Parkway and Demott Drive, in front of Harris Teeter, will occur from Sunday, June 1 through, Sunday, June 15.
