This application proposes to rezone approximately 50 acres of vacant land southeast of Waxpool Elementary School and surrounding the area where Waxpool Road, Belmont Ridge Road, and Black Angus Drive meet, near the old Tillett’s Auction Barn. The request is to rezone from rural commercial and R-1 (one residential unit per acre) to a higher density residential zoning to construct up to 110 stacked condo units, 184 townhouse units, and 103 single-family units (397 total units).  This application was forwarded to the Board with a unanimous recommendation of denial from the Planning Commission.
