St. Patrick’s Day Block Party & Cornhole Tournament this Saturday at the Nature Center ***New Venue***

Join the festivities at our annual block party event this Saturday, March 16,  from 12pm-3:00pm outside the Nature Center building. If you plan to drive, there will be limited parking at the Nature Center (left side only), so please use the Southern Walk Pool parking lot as overflow and walk through the tunnel.

Please be sure to bring your ID if you are 21+ and would like to consume alcohol in our designated beer garden area. Cash only for beer and shots. Beer is $2 per cup and Bailey’s Irish Cream is $2 per shot.  A hot chocolate bar will be available for free along with S’mores and a firepit, weather permitting. Fractured Prune will be selling their treats and DJ Neil Keller will be pumping the tunes while kids enjoy the Balloon Twisters and Face Painters. If you missed signing up to play cornhole, you will have the chance to join the tournament. Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!

Calling all Broadlands Middle Schoolers!!! Are you ready to have the time of your life? This will be a night to remember with:

  • DJ and Dancing
  • Sipping Bubbly Apple Cider
  • Photo Booth
  • Food, Treats and Drinks
  • Game Stations
  • And many surprises fit for a semi-formal tween/teen event!

Flicks in the Sticks…POSTPONED to Sat, Aug 25!

Due to the damp conditions and potential rain, tonight’s movie is POSTPONED until Saturday, August 25 at 8:15 pm. This movie is 2:32 minutes long, hence the slightly earlier start time.

Join your fellow residents for some fun and popcorn on the Nature Center lawn and be entertained by Star Wars: The Last Jedi on Saturday, August 25 at 8:15 pm. This will be the last Flicks in the Sticks movie night for this season, so don’t miss out!  For details on this event, click here>>

Snapes Masters Potions Class, June 16

Join the Naturalist this Saturday to conjure up the following summertime potions:

Bath bombs (you choose the flavor) for long soaks after your giant hikes and bike rides, coconut lime sunscreen with raspberry seed oil for SPF 45+, tick-away spray, post bug bite blitz balm (just add dandelions), the secret to preventing a poison ivy outbreak, dream-dust, and yarrow flower in three preparations (our Broadlands fields are covered in yarrow this time of year), and BUTTERBEER FOR ALL!!!

  • First class: 11:00am-12:30pm
  • Second class: 2:00pm-3:30pm

Both classes offer same potions. Ages 8+ are welcomed but are recommended to attend and all can dress for the occasion!
