Later this month, Loudoun County will host two public open house-style events for residents to learn about and discuss proposed policy and regulatory changes pertaining to data center development. These events will feature stations dedicated to data center siting and design, substation development, on site energy generation issues, and noise concerns. Staff from the county’s Department of Planning and Zoning will be on hand to speak with attendees personally and the county will capture public input via a series of very brief surveys at each event.
The events will take place from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. on Monday, September 28 and Wednesday, September 30 in Ashburn and Leesburg, respectively. Attendees need only come to one event as the content presented will be identical at both. Unlike traditional town hall or public meeting events, there will be no formal presentation, and attendees may come and go as they wish anytime between 6:00 and 8:30.
